A Quadruple Award

Somehow it has happened that I was nominated for four awards at the same time by the same person. Very strange…

Well. The first award is the Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandments Award. This award requires a couple things: First of all, a picture.

Mrs. Sparkly is a strange person, that’s all I’m saying. Next are THE QUESTIONS (all caps optional).

DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN SEVEN WORDS: weird, random, happy, funny, unable-to-describe-himself-in-seven-words-and-this-only-counts-as-one-word, slightly conceited, strange.

WHAT KEEPS YOU UP AT NIGHT: Ideas. And Dvorak’s New World Symphony.

WHOM YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE: I always thought it would be fun to be Percival Tospockingtonham, but since he’s fictional I’m not sure he counts.

WHAT YOU ARE WEARING NOW: T-shirt and jeans. I would like to be dressed in a purple three-piece suit, but you can’t have everything.

WHAT SCARES YOU: Mrs. Sparkly.

WHAT ARE THE BEST AND WORST THINGS ABOUT BLOGGING: Someone once said this about blogging: “Never have so many with so little to say said so much to so little.” The best thing is that I can say what I want. The worst thing is nobody really seems to care, because out of the millions and billions of people on earth, I’m followed by about 75. But I like my group, so it ain’t so bad.

WHAT WAS THE LAST WEBSITE YOU LOOKED AT: My own, to see if you could get one award twice, which will follow.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE: Oh, goodness… It’s a fault among conceited people that they think they’re perfect. Fortunately, I’m only slightly conceited, so I’d change the conceit. It’s a funny thing to joke about, but it’s rather difficult to be modest when you’re conceited.

TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT THE PERSON WHO NOMINATED YOU: I have no idea who the guy is who nominated me, honestly. I read one post of his and I think I might have commented, but I haven’t seen him since. And he insists on calling me Phil. I’m a Head Phil, not Phil himself. Here‘s the thoroughly confusing post in which he nominated me, though.

So that’s it for the questions. I’ll nominate who gets the award after the next three awards, the next of which is the Sunshine Award.

The rules follow:

Thank the person who gave you the award.
Write a post about it.
Answer the questions that come with it.
Pass it along to ten people and let them know they’ve received the award.

Not more questions! What are they?

Favorite color: grey or gray, whichever you prefer.

Favorite animal: duck-billed platypus, or sometimes an aardvark

Favorite number: thirteen, probably.

Favorite drink: root beer.

Facebook or Twitter: I have neither. I spit in your face, social networks! Sort of. I like WordPress, if that’s a social network.

My passion: writing or music, you pick.

Getting or giving presents: Is this a question? Are any of these questions? I like getting and giving presents, yes, but I like my presence even more.

Favorite pattern: Hmmm… Plaid? No, I hate plaid. Plain.

Favorite day of the week: Who picked these questions? Goodness… I think I’ll say… Hmmm… I don’t know! Ah, just call it Thursday.

Favorite flower: Oh, goodness! I would personally find and keelhaul the person who made up these questions, except I want to keep my award. I’ll skip this one.

Thank you, person linked to above who gave me this award! I’ll nominate people later. Next! The Candle Lighter Award– Who picks these awards? I don’t… Ah, well. All this one requires is the picture:

And the person who gave it to me is the same one who is linked to above. And yes, I’m getting to the nominations. The last award is the Liebster Award… again. I think you’ll all recognize the badge:

Ah, this one's all right.

I’ve already had this once before, so it’s about the same. Read my first post here. Next? The nominations.

The Land of Man-Eating Pixies.

Comfy Sweaters, Writing and Fish.

The Love of Words.

Oh Yeah, Write!.

The Lonely Recluse.

A Farewell To Sanity.

Lily’s Notes in the margins.

Esther Victoria1996 | A Star that shines in the midnight sky….

Kirsten Writes! | … And Stuff.

The Zebra Clan.

All these are good blogs you should check out, and I’m leaving them a note… now!

Cheers! I’d join the throng and say I’d have a blog post up soon, but since I’m not supposed to be online at the moment and haven’t got the time to write one, it might go up later, or tomorrow, or next week some time. Because that’s the way I roll 😉

I wonder if the award looks the same now as it did when this was posted… I Googled it because I was curious to see why it was so bad… if it does look the same… *snorts in attempt not to laugh* that is pretty bad for this particular blog!
